Journal

Czech Journal of Tourism is a peer-reviewed scientific journal primary focuses on research articles and studies reflected theoretical knowledge and scientific findings. The journal takes an interdisciplinary approach and therefore includes economic, environmental, ethic, cognitive, managerial, political and special aspects of tourism.


The aim of the journal is to encourage exchange of knowledge and experience in field of tourism and so strengthen the position of tourism as a scientific discipline. Regarding this the ambition is to be on the list of the worldwide accepted scientific journals. 


The journal was established in 2011 by the Faculty of Economics and Administration Masaryk University, Faculty of Informatics and Management University of Hradec Králové, and the Faculty of Economics University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. At the end of 2018, the Faculty of International Relations University of Economics in Prague joined the journal platform and in 2022 terminated the partnership.

Since 2013 the Journal is accessed online in the database Sciendo of the publisher De Gruyter and it is indexed in RePEc/EconPapers, ERIH PLUS, DOAJ and other databases. Since 2015 the Journal is on the List of reviewed non-impact journals (periodicals) published in the Czech Republic (Jrec). Since 2018 the Journal has been applied to one of the Clarivate Analytics indexes called Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).
